New dental sealant tested for kids with chalky teeth
NCT ID NCT07504614
First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether a new pre-etched bioactive sealant works better than a standard resin sealant for protecting permanent molars in children with molar incisor hypomineralization (MIH), a condition that causes weak, sensitive enamel. About 76 children aged 6–12 with at least one affected molar will receive one type of sealant on each side of the mouth. Researchers will check sealant retention, cavity prevention, and tooth sensitivity over time.
