Summary
This study is testing whether a powered prosthetic knee (the Össur Power Knee) helps people with above-knee amputations walk better and use less energy compared to a standard passive knee. Twenty adults aged 45-75 who have used a prosthesis for at least a year will be asked to walk, stand up, and sit down while researchers measure their speed, energy use, and movement. The goal is to see if the powered knee offers real benefits in mobility and daily function.
