New drug trial targets root cause of multiple serious kidney diseases

Summary
This study is testing a new drug called povetacicept in adults with several serious autoimmune kidney diseases, including lupus nephritis and IgA nephropathy. The main goals are to see if the drug is safe and if it can help control these diseases. Participants receive injections about once a month for at least six months, with options to continue longer.
