NCT ID NCT05344599
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study aims to find out how many people with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) also have a rare liver condition called acute hepatic porphyria (AHP). About 70 adults with POTS will provide blood samples, genetic tests, and complete questionnaires during a single visit. Since there are treatments for AHP that can change the course of the disease, identifying these patients could lead to better care.
