First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at whether some people with Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) also have a rare, treatable condition called acute hepatic porphyria (AHP). About 70 adults with POTS will have blood work, genetic testing, and autonomic function tests in one visit. The goal is to find out how common AHP is in POTS and identify who might benefit from screening.
