Can a spoonful of potato starch reshape your gut?

NCT ID NCT06949631

Summary

This study tested whether taking a specific type of potato starch could change the mix of bacteria in the gut of healthy people. For four weeks, 74 participants took either the potato starch or a placebo (inactive substance) and collected stool samples for analysis. Researchers also tracked participants' digestive symptoms, stool patterns, and quality of life to see if the starch made any noticeable difference.
