Can education for new moms prevent future heart disease?
NCT ID NCT07420465
Summary
This study aims to see if a special education program for new mothers can help them better monitor their blood pressure and other heart health markers after giving birth. It will follow 200 women in Ghana from their third trimester of pregnancy until six months after delivery, tracking changes in their health. The goal is to find ways to reduce women's long-term risk of heart disease, which can be higher after pregnancy complications like high blood pressure.
