First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether adding a traditional Chinese herbal supplement called Compound E Jiao Jiang to standard iron pills helps women recover from anemia after childbirth. 360 women with mild to moderate anemia were randomly assigned to get either the herbal supplement plus iron or a placebo plus iron for 6 weeks. The main goal was to see if the herbal supplement improved hemoglobin levels more than iron alone.
