How do seniors really feel after surgery? new study aims to find out

NCT ID NCT07505758

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 25, 2026

Summary

This study follows 600 patients aged 80 and older who are having planned surgery requiring a hospital stay. Instead of only looking at medical outcomes like complications, researchers will ask patients to fill out a questionnaire (QoR-15E) about their physical, emotional, and psychological recovery before surgery and at several points afterward. The goal is to better understand recovery from the patient's perspective, which could help improve care for older adults.
