Could a Gut-Health supplement boost IVF success? small study investigates
NCT ID NCT07278024
Summary
This small study tested whether taking a postbiotic supplement for 8 weeks could improve the balance of healthy bacteria in the vagina of women who had experienced multiple IVF failures. Researchers enrolled 15 women and analyzed their vaginal bacteria before and after the treatment to see if the supplement increased beneficial Lactobacillus bacteria and changed the overall microbial community. The goal was to see if improving the vaginal environment could potentially support better outcomes in future fertility treatments.
