Summary
This study tested whether a dietary supplement called a postbiotic could reduce symptoms like diarrhea and abdominal pain in people with moderate to severe Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS-D). 384 participants took either the postbiotic or a placebo pill daily for 12 weeks. Researchers measured changes in symptom severity and also looked at effects on mood, anxiety, and stress.
