First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether combining resisted deep breathing with myofascial release (a type of gentle massage) can help reduce pain, improve breathing, increase chest movement, and decrease arm swelling in people who have had a mastectomy. The study will include 48 adults who are at least 6 months past surgery and have finished radiation and chemotherapy at least 3 months ago. Participants will be assigned to receive the combined treatment, and researchers will measure changes in lung function, arm size, pain levels, and chest mobility.
