Tracking the hidden scars of ICU survival

NCT ID NCT07373561

Summary

This study aims to understand how many people in Denmark experience long-term health problems after surviving a serious illness in the intensive care unit (ICU). Researchers will follow 800 adult ICU survivors for one year, checking in at 3, 6, and 12 months after they leave the hospital. The goal is to measure how common these problems are, how they change over time, and what factors might make someone more likely to experience them.
