New injection offers hope for shingles nerve pain

Summary

This study tests a special injection (erector spinae plane block) to relieve pain from post-herpetic neuralgia, a painful condition after shingles. 60 adults who haven't found relief from standard treatments will receive either the injection or usual care. The goal is to see if the injection reduces pain and improves satisfaction.
