First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests a drug called tenecteplase for people having a severe stroke caused by a blockage in the basilar artery at the back of the brain. Participants receive either standard care or tenecteplase within 24 hours of symptoms, followed by a procedure to remove the clot if needed. The goal is to see if tenecteplase improves recovery and reduces disability at 90 days.
