New approach to C-Section pain may reduce need for opioids

NCT ID NCT05405049

Summary

This study compared different methods to manage pain after cesarean section surgery. Researchers tested whether local numbing medications injected into the abdominal area could work as well as traditional spinal morphine to reduce pain. The goal was to see if these alternative methods could help women use fewer opioid pain medications during their first day of recovery.
