First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at whether the type of pain relief given after a planned C-section affects how soon and how exclusively mothers can breastfeed. Researchers compared a common pain-blocking method (TAP block) with other options in 75 women. The goal was to see if better pain control helps more babies start breastfeeding within the first hour and continue exclusively for 72 hours.
