Dental cement showdown: which one hurts less after a crown?
NCT ID NCT07102121
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study compares two types of dental cement used to attach crowns, aiming to find which one causes less tooth sensitivity afterward. About 496 people aged 15-70 with healthy teeth needing crowns will be randomly assigned to receive either a newer resin-modified cement or a traditional glass ionomer cement. Participants will rate any pain on a 0-10 scale, and researchers will compare the results to see which cement is gentler on teeth.
