Turning the tide on bedsores: ICU study tests repositioning timing
NCT ID NCT07355439
Summary
This study aimed to find out if changing how often nurses reposition critically ill patients in bed can help prevent painful pressure injuries, also known as bedsores. Researchers worked with 82 patients in intensive care who were at risk but did not yet have any bedsores. They carefully monitored changes in the patients' skin to see if different repositioning schedules made a difference.
