Gentle touch plus exercise may beat touch alone for back pain

NCT ID NCT07389070

First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding therapeutic exercises to a gentle hands-on technique called positional release therapy helps people with chronic low back pain more than the hands-on therapy alone. Sixty adults aged 20 to 65 with ongoing back pain took part. Researchers measured pain, disability, and muscle endurance to see which approach worked better.
