First seen Jun 05, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 05, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether a portable MRI machine can start scans faster than a standard MRI in the emergency department. 100 adults who needed a brain MRI were randomly assigned to get either a portable MRI plus usual care or usual care alone. Researchers measured the time from when the MRI was ordered to when the scan actually began.
