Quick blood test could change surgery prep

NCT ID NCT02255214

Summary

This study tested how accurate a small, portable blood clotting test device is compared to the standard lab equipment. It involved 24 patients who had recently stopped taking the blood thinner warfarin before elective surgery. The goal was to see if the quick, bedside device gives reliable results to help doctors safely decide which type of anesthesia to use.
