New light therapy aims to fade Port-Wine birthmarks safely

Summary
This study tests a light-activated drug called hemoporfin to treat port-wine birthmarks (red or purple skin marks). About 84 adults aged 18 to 75 will receive either the drug or a placebo, followed by different amounts of light. The goal is to find the safest and most effective light dose to lighten the birthmark with fewer side effects.
