New light treatment tested for fading birthmarks

Summary
This study is testing a light-based treatment called photodynamic therapy to reduce the appearance of port-wine birthmarks. It will enroll 84 adults to compare different light doses and a placebo treatment. The main goals are to see if the treatment is safe and how well it works on different body areas.
