New hearing implant surgery tested for safety and success
NCT ID NCT04606823
Summary
This study tested a less invasive surgical technique for placing a Ponto hearing implant. It involved 52 adults with hearing loss who were already scheduled to get a bone-anchored hearing system. The main goal was to see how often the implant was successfully anchored and usable three months after surgery, while also checking for skin problems or pain.
