Summary

This study tested whether the drug pomalidomide could safely help control Kaposi sarcoma, a cancer that often affects people with HIV. It involved 26 HIV-positive adults in sub-Saharan Africa who took the drug daily in repeating cycles. Researchers measured how well the drug shrank tumors and monitored its side effects and impact on the patients' HIV status.
