First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tested whether a polyurethane foam bandage helps C-section scars heal better than a standard gauze bandage. Two hundred women who had a C-section were randomly assigned to receive either the foam or gauze dressing. Researchers checked scar appearance and infection rates at 1 week, 1 month, and 6 months after surgery.
