Summary
This study tested a new laser-based measuring tool (AccuMeasure) to see if it can measure colon polyps more accurately than the usual visual estimate. Accurate polyp size is key for deciding how often patients need follow-up colonoscopies to catch cancer early. The study involved 138 adults scheduled for colonoscopy and compared the laser's measurements to standard methods.
