New laser device could improve colon cancer detection timing
NCT ID NCT05489380
Summary
This study tested a new laser measurement system to see if it can measure colon polyps more precisely than current visual estimation methods. Researchers compared the laser tool against traditional measurement approaches during routine colonoscopies in 138 polyps from adult patients. More accurate size measurements help doctors recommend the right timing for future screenings, potentially catching cancer earlier.
