Two drainage methods tested for pregnancy discomfort

NCT ID NCT00236340

Summary

This study compared two techniques for draining excess amniotic fluid (polyhydramnios) during pregnancy to relieve maternal discomfort. Researchers tested whether using a syringe or a continuous suction device worked better and was more comfortable for 80 pregnant women. The goal was to find the most effective and tolerable method for reducing symptoms like abdominal pain and pressure.
