Toxic legacy: study probes banned Pesticide's effects on island children
NCT ID NCT06653660
Summary
This study aims to understand how exposure to a banned pesticide called chlordecone affects children's development in Guadeloupe. Researchers are following 650 children from a previous study to see if exposure during pregnancy or early life impacts their thinking skills and the timing of puberty. The study does not provide treatment but seeks to answer important community health questions about this environmental pollutant.
