New polio shot tested for safety alongside standard baby vaccines

NCT ID NCT05850364

Summary

This study tested a new inactivated polio vaccine for babies. It checked if giving this polio shot at the same time as other standard infant vaccines (like those for whooping cough and tetanus) is just as effective and safe as giving them separately. The trial involved over 1,400 healthy 6-week-old infants in Bangladesh and Pakistan.
