Could a simple injection make raised scars disappear?
NCT ID NCT07606391
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests if injecting polidocanol (a medicine that reduces blood flow) into keloids and hypertrophic scars can make them flatter and less noticeable. About 90 people with scars that are less than a year old will receive either polidocanol or a standard steroid injection. The goal is to see which treatment works better at improving the scar's appearance.
