Can writing poems make volunteers happier?

NCT ID NCT06581952

Summary

This study is exploring whether writing Chinese poems can improve the mental well-being and happiness of volunteers who help people recovering from mental illness. Thirty adult volunteers in Hong Kong will attend two 3-hour poem writing sessions focused on themes like joy and gratitude. Researchers will measure changes in happiness, stress, and interest in poetry to see if this creative activity is a helpful and acceptable tool for volunteers.
