First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tested whether a specific exercise program called proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) helps people recover better after total knee replacement surgery compared to usual care. Fifty adults aged 60 and older who had knee replacement took part. The goal was to see if PNF exercises improve pain, balance, movement, and daily function more than standard care alone.
