Summary

This early-stage study tested the safety of a new experimental vaccine designed to prevent serious pneumococcal infections, including pneumonia and severe ear infections. Thirty healthy adults received either the vaccine or a placebo injection and were monitored for side effects for 30 days. The main goal was to see if the vaccine was safe and well-tolerated before further testing.
