New vaccine trial aims to protect thousands of kids from serious infections
NCT ID NCT06617715
Summary
This study is testing a new version of a vaccine designed to protect infants and young children from serious pneumococcal infections, like certain types of pneumonia and meningitis. It will involve about 3080 healthy children, from 6 weeks old up to age 5, to see if the new vaccine is safe and triggers a strong immune response. The new vaccine will be compared directly to an already approved vaccine (Prevenar13®) in a blinded study.
