Summary
This study tested a new vaccine designed to protect older adults from serious pneumococcal infections, like pneumonia. Researchers compared three versions of the new vaccine against two existing vaccines in 750 healthy adults aged 50 to 84. The main goals were to see how well the new vaccines triggered an immune response and to check their safety over about six months.
