First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a clinical pharmacist could help increase pneumococcal vaccination rates in patients at high risk for infection before they leave the hospital. Researchers enrolled 167 adults who were not up-to-date on their vaccines. The goal was to see if the pharmacist's involvement led to more patients receiving the recommended vaccine protocol.
