New vaccine combo tested to protect older adults from pneumonia

Summary
This study is testing a new vaccine (VAX-31) designed to protect against many strains of bacteria that cause pneumonia and other serious infections. Researchers want to see if it's safe and works well when given at the same time as the annual flu shot, compared to giving them separately. The study involves about 1,390 healthy adults aged 50 and older who have not had a pneumococcal vaccine before.
