New shot for kids tested against leading brand
NCT ID NCT06183216
Summary
This study tested the safety and immune response of a new version of a 13-valent pneumococcal vaccine in young children. It involved 140 healthy Chinese children, split into two age groups: infants starting at 2 months and children aged 2 to 5 years. The new vaccine was directly compared to the already-approved Pfizer vaccine to see if it was similarly safe and effective at triggering protective antibodies.
