First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study checks how often young children in Malaysia carry pneumococcal bacteria in their noses, which types are common, and whether those bacteria resist antibiotics. About 600 healthy or mildly sick children aged 0-5 years will give a nose swab and share their vaccination history. The goal is to understand how well current vaccines are working and if new strains are appearing.
