Single shot aims to boost blood platelets before surgery

Summary
This study is testing a single injection called PN20 to see if it can safely raise platelet counts in adults with chronic liver disease who need a planned medical procedure. Low platelet counts (thrombocytopenia) are common in liver disease and can increase bleeding risk during procedures. Researchers want to see if one dose of PN20 can keep platelet counts high enough from just before the procedure through the first week after it.
