Summary

This study aimed to better understand premenstrual syndrome (PMS) by identifying and describing its symptoms. Researchers enrolled 1,569 women who experienced menstrual-related mood changes to complete interviews, daily symptom ratings, and hormone measurements. The goal was to learn what might cause these symptoms and identify potential differences between women with and without PMS.
