First human trial launches for new cancer pill targeting specific genetic weakness

NCT ID NCT07284186

Summary

This is the first study in people testing a new oral drug called PLX-61639 for advanced solid tumors that have a specific genetic change (SMARCA4 mutation) and have stopped responding to standard treatments. The main goals are to find a safe dose and see if the drug shows early signs of fighting the cancer. About 155 participants with certain advanced cancers, like lung or stomach cancer, will take a daily pill for as long as it helps control their disease.
