Summary

This study tested a drug called PLS240 for people with kidney failure on dialysis who also have a serious hormone disorder called secondary hyperparathyroidism. In the first part, 362 participants were randomly assigned to receive either the real drug or a placebo for 27 weeks. After that, eligible participants could receive the real drug for another 26 weeks to see if it safely and effectively lowered the problematic hormone levels.
