New device aims to reduce nipple loss in top surgery

Summary

This study tests a device called BLOOM43 that is used the night before gender affirming mastectomy (top surgery). The goal is to see if it helps prevent nipple death or graft loss. Fifteen transgender or non-binary adults will use the device on one breast and report their experience.
