Natural supplement tested to tame sinus troubles and cut antibiotic use
NCT ID NCT07460934
Summary
This study tested whether adding a dietary supplement called Imunoglukan P4H® (Pleuran) to standard sinusitis care could help patients. It involved 85 teens and adults with newly diagnosed chronic sinusitis (without nasal polyps) in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Researchers wanted to see if the supplement could prevent sinus flare-ups and respiratory infections, potentially reducing the need for antibiotics and nasal sprays over a 12-month period.
