NCT ID NCT07419620
First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests if a less invasive biopsy method (using ultrasound) can diagnose the cause of fluid around the lungs as well as a more invasive scope procedure. About 420 adults with unclear fluid buildup will be randomly assigned to one of two approaches. The goal is to see if the simpler method reduces risks and costs while still providing accurate answers.
