Blood bandage boosts nose surgery recovery?
NCT ID NCT07645053
First seen Jun 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether applying platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), a concentrate from the patient's own blood, to the surgical site could improve healing after partial inferior turbinectomy (a type of nasal surgery). Fourteen adults participated, with each person serving as their own control: one side of the nose received PRF, the other did not. Researchers measured crusting and bleeding at one week and one month after surgery.
